If there’s something we love to do in London, it’s got to be going out for breakfast. With a huge number of breakfast spots to choose from, it can be hard deciding where to go but The Jungle Bar in Brixton gives you something a little bit different. From the moment you step through the hanging vines and branches, you know you’re in for something really special.

With a Caribbean spin on all the classic English and American breakfast dishes, you can be sure you’re getting full on flavour. We ordered the Living Large American Style sharing platter for two and it did not disappoint in either the size, or taste department.

The presentation was slick and inviting and we couldn’t wait to get get stuck in to the fluffy heart shaped pancakes served with berries and passion fruit drizzled with maple syrup, turkey rashers, beautifully light and seasoned scrambled eggs, sausages, spiced up beans, crispy hashbrowns and the perfectly fried crispy, doughy, moreish dumplings. What a combination and great value at just £30.

We went traditional and washed it down with tea as it was still early in the day, but after 11am, you can opt for something a little stronger from the cocktail menu.
The surroundings added that special touch with Insta worthy decor, all in the jungle theme creating a real experience. And with the tunes on point, you might be tempted to go back in the evening when the venue transforms into a restaurant, and then a late night bar for you to party the night away.
Get yourselves down there. It won’t disappoint.
